AWARD SCHEDULE
Participants earn one point per full participation in an eligible Southwest Division daily event. Only actual event days are eligible for points (i.e. does not cover pre-event participation).
To encourage participation in chronically understaffed events, driver's schools and Friday of three-day club events will award an additional bonus point for each day.
For Registration and Scutineering, those who participate in the entire 'night before event' registration/tech session are awarded an SRO point. The chief of specialty determines who is eligible.
SRO points are not awarded at professional racing events (i.e. Houston Grand Prix).
SRO points are valid for (3) years from the year date of issue. The SRO Committee may extend validity.
The physical form of the point is a business card sized worker reward card issued by the chief of specialty.
Participants are responsible for keeping their cards, lost cards will not be replaced.
Cards may not be sold but may be given to other participants without monetary gain.
REDEMPTION
Points may be redeemed by contacting the Redemption Coordinator.
The participant turns his card(s) in to the SRO committee with written election of award.
The SRO Redemption Coordinator is responsible for delivering the award to the participant. Redemptions are limited to a value of $500 / year.
Below is the award list. The SRO committee is open to suggestions for new items; Tell us what
you'd like to see added to the award list! Additional awards will be added based on input from SOWDIV race

SCCA Merchandise
SCCA now has a new source for SCCA related gear, http://www.sccagear.com/.
You may now redeem SRO points for a direct rebate on any gear purchased from this site.
Here’s how this will work: For purchases from SCCAGEAR.COM, Each SRO points will equate to a $10 rebate for purchases, rounded up. That means if your total bill is $35, you will need to redeem 4 points. Shipping costs can be included in the rebate, if desired.
It’s easy; just make your purchase from SCCAgear.com. Send a copy of the proof of purchase and the required point cards to SRO redemption coordinator Charles Orean. You will receive a rebate check from the SOWDIV Treasurer.
Hotel Reimbursement
To allow officials to choose any level of hotel, a similar rebate approach will be implemented. Select any hotel, and redeem SRO points at $10/point for your hotel stay. If your total bill for the weekend is $200, 20 SRO points gets a full rebate. Partial rebates are ok…if you only have 10 points, $100 of hotel stay will be rebated.
Send a copy of your hotel bill and the required point cards to SRO redemption coordinator Charles Orean. You will receive a rebate check from the SOWDIV Treasurer.
A Bit of Bad News
Any point cards with a date of 2007or earlier have been expired and can not be redeemed for value.
