Two heart pounding races - the Champ Car and the American LeMans - in three days and nights packed with speed and Excitement are back in Houston. Reliant Park will host The Grand Prix of Houston. Support races will be the Formula Atlantics and the Star Mazda.

The SCCA has been hired by the promoter of the Grand Prix to staff the Event. We have arranged hospitality for our officials, SCCA membership sales, T-shirt sales, private autograph sessions, nightly parties and a Champaign Brunch on Sunday morning. The promoter has kindly agreed to let us host a Solo event inside the Astrodome on Friday morning.

Also on Saturday morning SCCA will host a mini Go Kart race where executives will race against Paul Newman and all monies collected will go to the Paul Newman Charities. This is big time for SCCA!

Our Division needs to shine at these events. We will need everyone's help to do it. Already officials from Mexico City are asking to be allowed to come and help work the Event.

...and that's only to mention a few. Assistant Race Chairs will be Rod Dundas (spokesperson) and Al Stainbrook. Please start getting your licenses ready and let's show the racing community what the SouthWest Division SCCA can do!
